In her role as the Alliance Information Officer, Estelle is responsible for ensuring the organisation’s full compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and any other applicable data protection laws. This role is critical in safeguarding the privacy, dignity, and data rights of individuals and communities engaged in African Alliance programming.
The Information Officer acts as the central point of contact for all matters related to data protection, including managing requests from data subjects, overseeing data breach responses, and ensuring that all staff, consultants, and partners adhere to the organisation’s Data Safety, Storage and Protection Policy.
