Tian Johnson spoke to BBC World Radio about the need to continue pushing to ensure that people on the African continent have access to testing as test kits are currently expensive and out of reach to many.

Tian spoke on the Brian Lehrer Show about how Africans took part in clinical trials to get this vaccine and how tax money went towards the research and yet we look at our TVs and we see our friends from the global north taking vaccines selfies, but yet we’re told we have to wait for a vaccine until 2023
Tian also gave their thoughts on COVAX and how we can’t depend on them as they are underfunded, unaccountable, and can’t get us vaccine equity. That must be done mainly by our governments. (Tian’s remarks are on 11:33)

PrEP can stop HIV from taking hold and spreading throughout your body. When taken daily, PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV from sex or injection drug use.
In this interview listen to Wilfred explain why PrEP is much less effective when it is not taken consistently. Studies have shown that PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99% when taken daily. Among people who inject drugs, PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV by at least 74% when taken daily.
