PA SALLAH DRAMMEH

Pa Sallah hails from The Gambia, and is a second-year MasterCard Foundation Scholar at McGill University, pursuing a Masters in Biostatistics. He recently completed a three-month summer (2022) internship as a Biostatistician at the Medical Research Council, The Gambia at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicines, where he worked on the World Health Organization African Region Pediatrics Bacterial Meningitis Surveillance Network to assess the impact of the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has also worked to develop a Management Information System for The Government of The Gambia in collaboration with the World Bank to distribute $30 million as Covid-19 emergency incentives to over 83k households in the rural Gambia. He is passionate about diving into complex health data, and coming up with data-driven recommendations. After graduation, he hopes to work as Biostatistician and use his analytical skills to help improve the healthcare sector in Africa, and the world at large!
